Yogasleep Dohm Connect App-Controlled White Noise Sound Machine

The machine looked great and the app used to control the machine also worked well. However, the machine was not loud enough and the max volume could not be compared to my old white noise machine. I had to go back to using my old white noise machine for the noise level. Hopefully in the future this product will have higher volume settings to use. I would buy it in the future if I knew that the volume was more pronounced.

I can't use the machine with the app because isn't available for my country

I got the Dohm Connect as a gift from my mom and used it because I'm a night shift nurse and need to block out daytime noises. But this machine only lasted me a year of daily use. It makes this awful rattling noise. Kinda sad because I expected it to last longer and now I'm back to playing sounds on my phone until I can find a reliable sound machine.

I really liked this initially but after a few months it makes a buzzing sound the is really annoying and I have stopped using it. I think the fan started going bad. So keep in mind this is using just a fan and will probably make noise or fail. Stick with the digital models if that is a concern for you.

The advantage to using the YOGASLEEP Dohm is that the sound is mechanical. What I mean by that is that there are actual moving parts (it's safe) that generate a whirring sound. It is very consist ant and theoretically changes with the movement of air in the room. The mechanical motion of the machine creates a beautiful sound wave that has a natural curve. Most sound machines are a digital file played over a speaker. If the digital file is short or low quality, you will hear imperfections, which drives people like me crazy! We really enjoy the Dohm and the added feature of auto-turn on at night time is really helpful. The only complaint I have is that if you manually turn on the device, sometimes it will forget to turn on at its regular time the next night - a simple bug fix.

We’ve owned the classic model for many years and loved it. We purchased this one for our child’s room to mask the vacuum that goes on at night. We chose the Bluetooth model so that we could schedule it to go on and off automatically each night. Improvements that would be nice: WiFi/SmartThings compatibility. An ability to ramp up the speed/volume over time. One can only schedule three instances, so we step it up that way, but it would be nice to be able to specify a max volume setting and have it gradually ramp up over a few minutes from the quietest automatically.

Sound gets pretty loud which is what I was looking for. Great machine

We initially purchase 2 Dohm Connects for our toddler and baby as we wanted that control from outside the nursery. However, the single sound setting, which is essentially the sound of a fan, can just be increased and decreased in volume (and turned off) from our phone, that's it, and just the one fan sound, which really isn't worth it for us, especially at the price point. We love the travel Yogasleep's sound machines we have already, however this one really fell short of our expectations and we are in the process of returning/refunding them. Will be purchasing the Duet instead for our children.
